1960 Roadster

Jim Cressman

I bought this roadster from Stowe Vermont in 1992. Sixty-five percent of the car was rusted away. I have used NOS sheet metal, plus reproduction sheetmetal and fabricated sheet metal to put it back together. I even used sheet metal from our old Magtag wash- machine. It has a super engine in it now, but I have the original engine taken out to store it in a safe place. It has a GT 80 liter gas tank and I had taken the original excellent tank out and stored it with the original engine. I use it as a daily driver and I have over eight thousand on the car since it has been back on the road. It had been sitting for over thirty years before I bought it and everyone said it was not worth putting it back together. I have a plasticon hard top that I had bought for it a couple of years ago. I am now working on the second super ninety roadster and hopefully it will be completed by the summer of 2004. I bought a NOS lietz luggage rack for the first roadster that I will be using on the car for trips. It will hold two fishing rods quite nicely The second roadster twin of the first roadster being made in 1960. Hopefully I will be able to take a trip down to the Florida Keys this summer in this roadster.
